• Learning Center Grading Criteria

Students in Learning Center classes are graded on a Credit or No Credit basis.

In order to receive credit (CR), the student must earn 85% or more of available points.
In addition, the student must have an 85% attendance record for the semester.
That is, he or she must attend class at least 85% of the total number of school days for the semester.

If a student earns less than 85% in points or attendance, he or she will receive no credit (NC) for the class.

Grading is based on the following criteria on a daily basis:

Being on Time: The student must come to class on time. Being on time means that the student is in the classroom
by the time the bell rings. Students will receive points daily for being on time.

Being Prepared: The student must come to class prepared. Being prepared means that the students have their
planners, books, and supplies with them. Teachers will also check to make sure that students are properly using their planners. Students will receive points daily for being on time.

Being Respectful: The student must be respectful during their Learning Center period. Being respectful means that the student will adhere to the instructions of their teacher. Students are also required to be respectful
of the other students in their classroom. Students will receive points daily for being respectful.

Working on Task: The student must be working on task during their Learning Center period. Working on task means that the student utilizes the period for doing homework, reading assignments, or any other school-related activity.
Students will receive points daily for working on task.

Total Possible Daily Score: 10 points
