The Teen Brain: Still Under Construction
Description
The All In Clayton Coalition is presenting “The Teen Brain: Still Under Construction” on Monday, April 17, from 7-9 p.m. in the Clayton High School Auditorium, #1 Mark Twain Circle. This is a must attend event for parents looking for a toolkit to use in working with their teenagers. You will learn how your child’s brain makes decisions differently from yours. Listen to the most up-to-date data on drugs – including risks, trends and prevention. Stay for a question and answer session and connect with your community.
Presenters Dr. Deanna Barch, professor of psychological and brain sciences, and Dr. Pamela Madden, professor of psychiatry, are distinguished teachers and researchers at Washington University and leaders of the ABCD Study, a study of brain development and child health that will follow more than 10,000 children from ages nine to young adulthood during the next decade.
The event is free and open to the public; reservations are not required. Contact School District of Clayton Assistant Superintendent of Student Services Dr. Greg Batenhorst at gregorybatenhorst@claytonschools.net or 314.854.6023 with questions.
