The School District of Clayton completed lead testing in all of its buildings this fall. Testing, and follow-up testing on the only faucet that exceeded levels in its initial test, did not find any instances of lead levels exceeding the District’s 10 ppb action limit. The School District of Clayton has hired a contractor to test faucets and drinking fountains for lead contamination in all of the District's facilities. Even though the District does not anticipate the water in any of its buildings to test positive for lead contamination, the testing is being performed out of an abundance of caution and to confirm that the water in our schools is indeed safe.
