The School District of Clayton completed lead testing in all of its buildings this fall. Testing, and follow-up testing on the only faucet that exceeded levels in its initial test, did not find any instances of lead levels exceeding the District’s 10 ppb action limit. At their Nov. 16 meeting, the Clayton Board of Education voted unanimously to both support the final extension of enrollment for new students in the Voluntary Student Transfer (VST) program (through 2023-2024) and to accept new students during the five-year extension. The MAP Grade-Level assessment score reports have been released by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Any student who attended a Clayton school during the 2015-2016 school year and was in third through eighth grade will receive his/her report at his/her home address. Reports will be mailed by Sept. 30, 2016.
